About Us
Based in the heart of the Isle of Lewis, Hebridean Spaces creates bespoke buildings ranging from our classic compact ‘Bothy’ design, saunas, all the way to full homes. With every construction, whether small or large, high standards of quality and strength of build are upheld, which many structures over the Hebrides can already attest to.
Our builds are tried and tested in our Hebridean climate, they are built with extremely high levels of insulation and air tightness to be as comfortable and efficient to run as possible.
All external cladding materials, windows and doors are chosen to perform against the Hebridean climate. These spaces are not just built “tough”, they are designed to be easy to use with practical and elegant storage solutions.

My Story
My name is Innes Smith, I’m a born and bred Hebridean and I have a wealth of experience in construction and project management. My "standard” designs have come about from a lifetime of camping, boating, thinking, measuring and planning, all to figure out what is needed for comfort and ease-of-use in this challenging environment. With this in mind, no two bothys are the same. For each person I will sit down and listen to what you want and need out of your space, look at the proposed site and work together with you to make the perfect design fit for purpose.
